Format:

The electronic ballast is a lighting equipment for indoor crops. An essential digital ballast, the best option for those growers who start growing with quality equipment.

It is a very quiet ballast. Provides stable and homogeneous light thanks to improvements in light reduction power losses in the network. The flow of current is self-regulated in the discharge process and the lamps they turn on without flickering, and their useful life is increased.

Complies with current regulations. It is equipped with protection systems for the lamp and protection against voltage alterations in the network of ± 10%.

The FoxBox includes a network cable with a fixed connection to the equipment. And although it can work with distances of up to 15 meters, it is not advisable to exceed the recommended length of 5 meters between ballast and lamp, as it reduces the lamp efficacy.

Precautions:

  1. It must be checked that the equipment and the lamp are of the same power.
  2. Must be installed in a dry location.
  3. Do not cover with any thermal insulation (plastic, cardboard...) the equipment must be ventilated.
  4. Make sure your installation has a correct ground wiring circuit, which should be properly connected to the ballasts of your installation.
  5. Install an automatic switch for protection against overvoltages, in addition to the differentials and the circuit breakers This is an essential component in areas with poor power quality.
  6. Install the ballasts indoors, away from moisture and with an ambient temperature below 30 ºC.
  7. Do not touch the ballast during its operation, the high temperature of its metal parts could cause Burns.
  8. To optimize performance, reduce the distance from the ballast output cable to the fixture. The maximum length using a 3 x 1.5 mm2 cable is 15 m.
  9. Before performing maintenance on the lamp or ballast, disconnect the electrical supply from the installation.
