    Adding bamboo charcoal to your bonsai substrate maintains a healthy environment for growing bonsai. The Bamboo charcoal helps filter toxic substances that form in the soil due to fermentation or bacterial action and stimulates root growth making the substrate less compact.

    Naturally contains small amounts of aluminium, silicon, calcium and phosphorous, which are released through the bamboo pores.

    Its crystalline structure presents a multitude of micro-pores that absorb chemical substances such as pesticides and harmful ultraviolet rays from sunlight, thus increasing its medicinal properties.
