What does this kit include?
- Three seed packets: basil, mustard, and parsley
- Bag with Granular Clay (2L)
- Planter and tray (60 cm)
- Meliflor Superior Substrate (11 L)
- Spray bottle for watering
- Soil moisture meter
- Transplant mat
Meliflor Garden Kitchen Instructions
- Open the holes in the planter to ensure proper drainage and evenly spread the clay at the bottom.
- Place the transplant mat on your workspace to avoid making a mess.
- Add the substrate on top of the clay and distribute it evenly.
- Make small holes, place the seeds, and gently cover them with soil.
- Spray until the soil reaches the proper moisture level. You can check this using the included moisture meter.
Tips to get the most out of your Garden Kitchen:
💭 Clay as a self-draining system: place expanded clay at the bottom of the planter before adding the substrate. It acts as a drainage layer, preventing roots from rotting due to excess water.
💭 Soil moisture meter: use the meter to check moisture 2–3 cm deep. Overwatering is the number one mistake. The meter will give you peace of mind.
💭 Transplant mat: the mat holds loose substrate and makes cleaning the area easier after handling plants.
