Pro-Clone

Pro-Clone Tray 112 Alveoli Seeds / Cuttings (Box 8Und)

SUST0142

Sold by Natural SystemsMore information

Pro Clone is a convenient tray for seed germination or rooting cuttings. The tray incorporates a bound growing medium manufactured using a unique, patented, and organic horticulture-friendly technology. It comes with a mild fertilizer so your plants can feed without overfeeding during these early stages of growth. With the ideal moisture content, the initial fertilizer charge allows for healthy, even root growth in seeds and cuttings.

Format:

Pro-Clone trays measure 55 x 33 x 5 cm and each have 112 cells. These are filled with a stabilized substrate of uniform density, allowing for better utilization of the water and nutrients supplied.

The substrate mix incorporated into the Pro-Clone trays maintains the original structure of each of the fibers in the substrates they are made of to provide optimal porosity and air/water balance. Once it is sufficiently moist, the user won't need to water it immediately since it includes fertilizer that maintains a stable pH of 5.5, ideal for cloning.

Pro-clone trays are sold ready-to-use and are very easy to use:

  • Seeds: In any of the alveoli, make a small hole 1.5 cm deep and approximately the thickness of the seed itself (insert the sharp point of a pencil, for example). Insert the seed you want to germinate or drop it into the hole; use the pencil point to push it to the bottom until you feel it is there. Now, with your index finger, press the edges of the hole toward the center until the seed is well covered without pressing too hard.
  • Cuttings: Using the same technique as a pencil or similar instrument, make a hole that goes through most of the socket without reaching the base. Insert the stem of your cutting into it. Finish by compacting the substrate around the stem with your fingers. Make sure it is secure and tight.

In either case, we recommend helping rooting by using a propagator or small greenhouse to maintain constant high humidity for at least the first week after starting it up. After the first week, high humidity is not as necessary.
With the ideal moisture content, the initial fertilizer load allows for healthy and uniform growth of the root system of seeds and cuttings.
